Amazing fare: £1170 return Lufthansa Business Class, Hong Kong to Copenhagen!
Here's a great fare if you find yourself in the Far East and needing to find a way back to Europe.
Lufthansa have a fare which I've managed to optimise to £1168 / €1325 going from Hong Kong to Copenhagen, round trip. You can use this Google Flights search to search around for dates to suit, but fares appear to be available for travel until the end of June 2019.
Not all the fares I found on Google Flights appeared to translate into Lufthansa's own site, but these appeared to still be bookable with a bit of tweaking of dates.
The sector between Hong Kong and Frankfurt is operated on their A380s which use a 2-2-2 configuration, but as it also books into P class you need to be careful about which programme you credit your miles into, as there is great disparity. For instance Aegean Airlines does not give any credit, whereas Singapore Airlines gives 100%. Check the full table of earnings here.
Thanks for sharing, but P class earn 0 miles for OZ, else this would have been a great deal.
Yeah it’s a shame although for the non-frequent flyer who watches those status or award miles less, it’s a great deal.
Is 2x2x2 configuration really Business Class. I mean how do you even get to the toilet from a window seat, if the person next to you is sleeping ?
The privacy and aisle accessibility of a 1-2-1 configuration of course trumps that of 2-2-2, but as long as a product is lie flat, offers some kind of lounge and improved meal option over economy or premium economy, I would argue that it is indeed business class.
It’s a shame that the fare wasn’t available anymore.
It’s probably sold out!
