Discounted Miles and More redemption routes. Europe-USA 55k Business class!

Lufthansa Miles and More are offering discounted deals starting today for intra-Europe routes or Europe-USA routes. As with most European programmes you'll be stung by high taxes and fuel surcharges…

But the discounted rate is 30 000 miles for economy class return, or 55 000 miles for business class return! And the cities go as far as Istanbul and Ankara, but you'll need to check your specific city pairings. Despite the relatively high extra charges (€500+) it's still pretty good value considering how much you'd have to pay for these tickets.

The full list of discounted redemptions is published here, and you can select your country of departure on the top right. For quick reference just select USA as these redemption rates are reversible.

In particular, I like the Athens, Istanbul, Tallinn, Kiev and Malta redemptions, since these are fairly uncompetitive routes so ticket prices would be pretty high. (I haven't bothered to check how much though!)

You must book your award ticket by 31st October 2013, and travel between 8th October to 16th November 2013
