Follow up on that valet car parking incident
I mentioned just a few days ago that I got new racing stripes on my rental car after handing my keys to Hilton's valet car parking service.
It's been elevated to the police. After chatting with the general manager, she interviewed both valet drivers who say they didn't hit anything. Since no-one's taking any responsibility for it, I've had to submit a police report for hit-and-run so insurance matters can be sorted out.
Lesson learned. Always park the car yourself.
Hope everything gets sorted out. Yep, I live in a very touristy city and hear this every other week. Never ever let high school drop-outs drive your car.
And need to add: always, always take pictures of the car before you pick it up (rental), and after you drop it off. Phone cameras are now standard and it cost nothing to take a few pictures. You can delete these after a few weeks.
maybe your rental car got into a fight with another car? a la transformers?
i hate valet services. Not only you pay too much to park, the valet guys asks for tip and you are expected to tip them all the time. tip of parking and tip for bring your car to you. if you stay at a hotel for 3 days and sue valet service, you will be paying for parking fee and tip all three days. That is waste of money. if you have to drive to a hotel, find self parking spots or don’t use hotel parking.
Recently I used meet and greet parking at Heathrow, I chose skylinkparking the booking process in skylinkparking was very easy and they provided exact information’s. Hospitality is good and professional, so had no problem trusting them with my car. Just called to notify after my trip and they were there on my arrival waiting with my car. Good Services!!
