At last: British Airways 787-10 arrives. New BA Holidays guarantee

New 787-10 Finally Here

Back in November last year, we wrote that BA would be flying its new 787-10 fleet between London and Atlanta in February this year, and a few other routes that were scheduled prior to this global pandemic.

Well after several months of delays its first 787-10, registration G-ZBLA arrived at Heathrow, as the tweet below shows. I was expecting a press release although this has not arrived yet. We are expecting a second aircraft arriving in the next couple of days.

The 787-10s will feature eight First Class seats and 48 Club Suite seats. It was expected to still fly to Atlanta in July as its first route but digging around in Google Flights this is not yet bookable. At this point in time it's a case of just wait and see.

BA Holidays Guarantee

British Airways Holidays is launching its Customer Promise to provide customers complete peace of mind when booking a holiday.

One very crucial difference between booking on ba.com for flights only versus ba.com/holidays is the much lower cash deposit (between 10%-30% depending on which pricing band your total amount falls into), which in a time when airlines are responding much slower to refunds, can be quite a crucial distinction. You will need to settle any outstanding balance three weeks prior to travel.
