Hilton extends Elite status, reduced thresholds for 2022 and elite night rollovers.

Your Hilton status just got extended for 2022. Whatever status you have on 31st December this year will be locked in as a minimum until 31st March 2023.

The other big news is that any qualifying nights that you earned during 2021 will also be rolled over into the following year. Note this applies to nights and not stays.

Any Hilton Honors points that were due to expire will also be rolled over until 31st December 2022

What are the 2022 Status Requirements?

There are some elite status threshold changes for 2022 which represent an increase on 2021 levels but are still approximately 30% below the normal requirements.

• Silver – 7 nights, 3 stays or 17,500 base points.
• Gold – 28 nights, 14 stays or 52,500 base points.
• Diamond – 42 nights, 21 stays or 84,000 base points.

And since any nights stayed in 2021 will roll over into 2022, if you have already hit 7, 28 or 42 nights this year, then your status is guaranteed for both 2022 AND 2023, which means your status will expire 31st March 2024 at the earliest.

What are the milestone bonuses

There are still incentives for those who stay above the required numbers to hit any elite status. These are:

• 10,000 bonus points at 30 nights.
• 10,000 bonus points for every 10 additional nights (after 30 nights).
• One-time 30,000 bonus points at 60 nights.

If you stay 40 nights you can gift Gold to a friend, or if you stay 70 nights that gift can be upgraded to Diamond.us at 70 nights.
